SE3K Survivors Experience 3000

Lode Runner

Brøderbund, Sega · 1984

Doug Smith's 1983 puzzle-platformer, one of the biggest home computer games of its day. The runner has to collect every gold chest on a level and reach the top, and he cannot fight: the only weapon is the floor itself, drilled away to trap a guard in the hole until the brick reforms over him. The guards can carry gold, and a guard buried with gold gives it back.
