SE3K Survivors Experience 3000

The Castle

ASCII, Sega

ASCII's 1985 puzzle-platformer, published on the SG-1000 by Sega. A hundred rooms of a castle, each a self-contained problem of keys, doors, ladders and moving blocks, to be solved on the way to the princess. One of the earliest games to make its difficulty entirely a matter of thought rather than reflex.
