Sega's own manual for the expansion, and the reference behind much of this emulator. It opens with the unit itself — connecting it to the SC-3000, handling and formatting disks, taking backups — then teaches BASIC from the keyboard up: variables, operators, the text and graphic screens, the VRAM map with VPOKE and VPEEK. Chapter 4 is the floppy in use (SAVE, FILES, LOAD, KILL, sequential and random files) and chapter 5 is the whole language, 130 pages of commands, statements and functions. The last chapter is the one to read if you build hardware: disk structure, capacity, directory and FAT, system disks and the IPL, then the port maps of both machines, the printer and RS-232C interfaces, the PPI functional table, the SC-3000 key matrix and every connector pinout.
