SE3K Survivors Experience 3000

Choplifter

Brøderbund, Sega · 1985

Dan Gorlin's 1982 Apple II game, and one of the first in which the player was expected to rescue rather than destroy. A helicopter flies out over enemy lines, lands beside the prison huts, waits for the hostages to run aboard and carries them home — and the tanks and jets will not stop for the landing. Hostages can be shot by mistake, and the game counts them.
