SE3K Survivors Experience 3000

Drol

Brøderbund, Sega · 1985

Brøderbund's 1983 game, written by Benny Aik Beng Ngo, and one of the strangest things on the Apple II. A flying camera-headed creature called Drol shepherds two children out of danger through underground levels of scorpions, snakes and turkeys, and the humour is the point: the sprites are large, the animation is absurd, and the game speaks.
