SE3K Survivors Experience 3000

Elevator Action

Taito, Sega · 1985

Taito's 1983 arcade game, and one of the first stealth games in anything but name. A spy enters a building at the roof and works down to the basement through a shaft of lifts, opening every red door for the documents behind it while agents step out of the ordinary ones. The lift is a weapon as much as a lift — an agent can be crushed by it, and a shot light leaves the floor dark.
