SE3K Survivors Experience 3000

Pitfall II

Activision, Sega · 1985

Activision's 1984 sequel to Pitfall!, and technically the more ambitious of the two: David Crane built a sound chip into the cartridge to give it a continuous score. Pitfall Harry descends into an enormous cave system after his niece, his cat and a diamond ring, and the game never ends a life — a hit simply carries him back to the last cross he passed, which for 1984 was a radical kindness.
